The Avram Rusu Studio for Art + Loom hand-knotted rug collaboration draws inspiration from the delicate glass details and fluid lines that are emblematic of the studio's renowned lighting and objects. The studio’s aim was to enlarge and reinterpret these features in textile form.
The challenge lies in translating hand-blown glass's luminosity and intricate subtleties into a two-dimensional textural medium. Many characteristics and intricacies of glasswork often go unnoticed, especially when light fixtures are positioned at elevated points in rooms. Bringing these subtle elements to the forefront in the form of rugs is an innovative venture.

Customization
As all Art + Loom rugs are handmade to order, color, shape, size, and pile height are customizable and are available in wool, silk, allo, mohair, nylon, bamboo silk, viscose, and linen.
